The 2014 ACC Golf Day

Took place at Helsby GC on the 7th December. 4 Fourballs set out on the foulest of days on the impressive Helsby Golf Course.DSC_0128

The first hole saw its usual catastrophes. Benners awful start however was completely usurped by a classic Crocky ‘mare – his drive failed to leave the tee.

Ste Charles won ‘nearest’ the pin, Phil Starkey hit the longest drive (yes Steve Green, we had a longest drive comp!!). With a mighty score of 40 Stableford points, Ian ‘the Iceman’ Charles won the competition, playing some sublime golf. Super food from Carla and her mum back at ACC afterwards too.

Facebook event.

The 2013 ACC Golf Day.

A magnificent (if chilly) morning at Frodsham greeting 16 golfers from ACC. Some comedy moments were not far away as Group 2 entertained the onlookers with some woeful drives in front of the clubhouse.

The standard did improve though and young Charlie Fletcher came out top of the pile shooting 74 to win by a stretch. Individual moment of the day went to Ste Charles. Coming into the 18th green with everyone watching, he holed his 3rd shot from 150 yards to complete an eagle.

Great day all round, cheers to Ste and Kendo for organising.
