Following 2 wins in the J Holt T20 Group 3, Alvanley have set up a winner-takes-all game against 2015 National T20 Champions, Boughton Hall. On Thursday 15th, the two teams meet with a place in the quarter finals the prize for the winners.
Alvanley began their campaign with a 9 wicket win at Christleton – the 92 runs required were knocked off in just 8 overs with Mike Rowlands leading the way belting 62 not out. The second game saw a much closer game as Barrow visited Alvanley. Alvanley set 159 and Barrow got close enough to keep a sizable crowd on the edges of their seats but fell 8 runs short to set up this pivotal decider.
Should Alvanley pull off this giantkilling feat, they would be one game away from the prestigious Finals Day…..one step at a time perhaps!
